Maybe you read some scary things about root canals online, and now you want to avoid one at all costs. Well, even though the internet has tons of helpful information, it\u2019s also full of unreliable sources and dangerously inaccurate information. Although this may have been the case several years ago, modern technology and anesthetics have made the treatment <em>much<\/em> more comfortable. It reportedly feels similar to getting a cavity filled! Since a root canal remedies pain caused by damaged tissues in the tooth, you can look forward to feeling relief from the severe toothache instead of additional pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">You Only Need a Root Canal If You Have Tooth Pain<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">If decay goes untreated for too long, it can cause the tooth to die, and you\u2019ll no longer feel pain. However, just because you\u2019re not experiencing tooth pain doesn\u2019t mean you don\u2019t need a root canal. Treatment is still necessary to prevent the infection from spreading to the gum and jawbone.
